Rock Fest Barcelona is held every July in Barcelona, Spain and has been running since 2014. It features international Rock and Metal bands, with a small selection of these being Spanish bands. It is one of the easiest European festivals to get to due to it being in a major city and having a Metro stop right by the entrance.

The attendance at Rock Fest Barcelona increases year on year as the festival becomes more popular and is able to attract bigger bands. Around 35,000 is the most recent daily attendance. The arena size is more than adequate for it not to feel too packed and the stages are reasonably close to each other so it’s not too much effort if you are stage-hopping.
Standard Weekend 3 Day Festival Ticket: These cover arena entry for all 3 days and the price is €161.90.
Day Tickets: These can be purchased nearer the time and the cost is still to be announced.
Rock Fest Barcelona Stages and Line Up
There are 3 stages at Rock Fest Barcelona. Main Stage 1, Main Stage 2 and Rock Tent Stage which is in a large tent. The major acts that appear on the main stages alternate so there are no main stage clashes and usually about 5 – 10 minutes gap between the bands.
ACCEPT are the first band announced for Rock Fest Barcelona 2020. Headliners and remaining bands have yet to be announced.
Around 15 bands will play across each stage per day. The headline acts finish at 1am and they tend to be followed by further bands and tribute bands that finish around 3am.
Tip! On some days the Metro will be closed by the time the headliners have finished so alternative transport may be needed. More info on the Metro follows.
Tip! There will be band clashes between whatever Main Stage is in use and the Rock Tent Stage. Use Clashfinder to help plan your itinerary. Note that the Clashfinder initially is just a guide and will only become accurate once official stage times have been announced.

Can Zam Metro station is on the Metro line L9 Nord (orange line). Depending on where you are travelling from, you will be able to connect to the L9 Nord from other Metro lines. Tip! The T-10 CANNOT be used to get to or from the airport Metro stations, an additional ticket is required. If you are travelling to or from the airport look up the various options on Barcelona tourist websites.

The bus-stops are all around 10 minutes walk from the festival site. The festival arena has one exit so to catch a bus you leave the arena, walk up the hill and then head down the road to the appropriate stop. Rock Fest Barcelona Merchandise
Rock Fest Barcelona has merchandise stalls for official merchandise and also a Metal Market by the entrance with stalls belonging to various traders.
Barcelona in July is more than likely going to be very hot and sunny so prepare to be in the heat all day. Drink plenty of water and take a break in the shaded tents or under some of the trees around the arena.
The arena is completely covered in Astroturf for the festival so it is comfortable to sit on the ground and there is no mud if it rains.
Tip! Take a hat to wear as it can get very hot watching the bands on the main stage and the sun will mostly be coming from behind onto your head, neck and shoulders. Having a bandana to drape over the back of your neck is a good idea.
